A new gym in Kampot Town

Recently a school’s teacher opened a gym – practically there are not gyms in the town, out of some hotels and guest houses, which are by default mostly exclusive to their guests.  The Blue Star Ping Pong Club is very well located at the river west side, north of the new bridge (Sky Street).  The fee is 3,000 Riel one hour and it has in general good machines plus the ping pong and tennis tables. It is a good opportunity to share also with locals.

Kampot Town will become a very attractive city if there is a good planning underway. It has what any city of our planet would dream: a stunning bay, a river and hills and caves.  Lacks: roads and architecture preservation. Kampot is a gathering of peoples: Khmer, Sino-Khmer, Viet-Khmer, Cham and, of course, Barang.  It is very curious to see that although Kampot is not much promoted as an international tourist destination, actually it attracts many foreign visitors.  It says a lot already.  The tourist vocation of Kampot, as Kep, must be eco-tourism.
